this is probably a really dumb question, but can't you put a "top" on their pen? they still get to roam freely, but no villains will get to them. I know here they do that to the vegetable gardens (i know, very different than live animals) so the kangaroos don't eat away everything. Couldn't you do the same thing?
This made me cry again. I know you are so sad they are gone.
